Description
The SODASAN Water Softener contains carbonates and silicates. These bind calcium and magnesium ions – the main cause of hard water – thus effectively softening the water. Ideal for use with SODASAN powder detergents in hard water areas.
Properties:
- Additive for use with detergent in hard water
- Free from colourants and preservatives
- Dermatologically tested
- Free from enzymes, genetically modified ingredients and phosphates
- Contains no petroleum-based or environmentally harmful additives
- Not tested on animals
- pH value: 10.5 – 11.5
Application: Add the required amount of softener along with detergent to the main wash compartment of the washing machine.
Water hardness guidelines:
- Soft water: no softener needed
- Medium water: 5 ml = 1 tsp
- Hard water: 10 ml = 2 tsp
Note: By using the softener, you can reduce the amount of detergent needed in medium to hard water (hardness range 2 - 3) to the minimum amount required for soft water (hardness range 1).

Sodasan
Very satisfied with this product. Wanted one that was cruelty free and did not test on animals. This one fits the bill. I live in a very hard water area so I am sure the life of my washing machine is being prolonged and also clothes come out much softer.
